Domar el veinto (Taming the Wind) consists of five large-format paintings on canvas and three medium-sized works on paper, all produced between 2023 and 2024.

As an artist, Tusquets revels in the joy of painting, employing  calculated gestural techniques alongside punctuated splattering and spontaneous layering. This technique allows the paint to flow freely, underscoring the fluid nature of the medium and the artist’s commitment to energetic compositions. The acrylic glides over and seeps in  the unprimed canvas—a deliberate choice of substrate that enhances the absorption of the pigment. His choice to go large allows Tusquets to pursue his goal of unbound vibrancy.

Tusquet's distinct gesture—geometric yet loose in form—gives an organic, non-static quality to the overall composition. It's as if the formal and informal elements are in a constant state of transformation, blurring the lines between structure and disarray. This gestural play is the basis of Tusquet's creative process, allowing him to infuse his paintings with dynamism and spontaneity.

The titles of the works reference  familiar structures: houses, cubes, bathrooms, and more. At some moments we see traces of these structures in roughly associated linear brushstrokes; the outlines are enigmatic, oscillating between the concretisation of an object and evaporation. This visual turbulence offers a fascinating glimpse into Tusquets' unique interpretation of spatial configurations and familiar forms.

His artistic practice—reminiscent of Color Field and Abstract Expressionism from the mid-20th century in the United States—brings pure pleasure to the canvas, a process of mixing and remixing that gives Tusquets' work a joyous unpredictability.
